As a Ministry Area, we have a growing team of ministers, staff and volunteers – lay and ordained – who encourage and empower us to share God’s love with our local communities.

James is our Ministry Area Leader, responsible for overseeing all we do and leading our Ministry Team. He is married to Amy, with two daughters: Evie (9) and Thea (2). Mtr Rose is civilly partnered to Shelley and has three children from a previous marriage called Franky (18), Laura (15) and Grace (12).  Prior to taking up this post, she was curate in Penarth and Llandough and then Vicar to Pontyclun, Talygarn and Llanharry, both in the Diocese of Llandaff. The Revd Canon Andrew Hutchinson

As Vicar for Liturgy and Worship, Fr Andrew oversees the worship life of our churches. The Revd Gareth Rayner-Williams

Gareth is from North Wales raised in a small village called Llysfaen on the coast. He came to faith in his teenage years and began attending church from about the age of 12. The Revd John Thorne

Following his ordination in June 2019, John now serves on our ministry team as Curate. Until recently, John was co-chair for many years of the Cardiff East Ecumenical Mission Partnership, and still acts as Chair of the Churches Together Shop at the Maelfa Shopping Centre. During his spare time, John also enjoys quality time with his family, studying, reading and walking.

Sharon Jenkins

Sharon is our Administrator & Office Co-ordinator, so chances are that if you call or pop into the office it will be Sharon you speak to! She is a Cardiff girl born and bred, having lived in the city virtually her whole life. She has recently completed a Theology Graduate Diploma with Westminster Theological Centre, and, in addition to her role with us, works part-time with two charities supporting vulnerable women with varying needs in the community.
